Background The First Tee of New Orleans received its official designation as a Chapter in December 2003. It is the result of the effort of a private-public partnership which includes many citizens, private organizations and the City of New Orleans. The Chapter is an independent, non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors under the umbrella of The First Tee, which is a nationwide initiative of the World Golf Foundation. Each Chapter operates with relative autonomy within The First Tee Network and is responsible for raising funds to cover capital and operating expenses. |
