Our schedule for the year is posted. It is important to note that if you desire to join The First Tee of New Orleans, your attendance is important. Failure to attend on a consistent basis will result in a loss in your preferential status and another applicat for future session could take your place. Please read our attendance policy as you look at our schedule
  First Tee Certification Requirements
The First Tee of New Orleans Participants have skill level requirements at every level. Each participant will twice a year be allowed to participate in certification days where they will be administered life skills and golf skills test.

Each student will receive written feedback of their performance and their progression through the program. To learn more about the programs requirements read more.....

September 11, 2010 - October 30, 2010

Paper applications will be accepted on September 8, 2011 during parent orientation 6pm - 7pm at The First Tee of Greater New Orleans Office. For those individuals who are comfortable with signing up online, we strongly encourage usage of our secure online service.

REFUND POLICY:  There will be no refunds after the registration period closes.
 NSF POLICY: There is a $25.00 NSF Fee bank charge for checks written with insufficient funds.

AGE VERIFICATION REQUIRED:  The minimum age to join  is 7 years old.  Birth Certificate verification Required.  Please fax your birth certificate to 504-304-3310 or bring to the course. 

Instruction begins on September 11, 2010
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL OF THEIR INSTRUCTION TIME.  ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PURCHASE A FTGNO GOLF SHIRT FROM OUR ONLINE STORE.

  First Tee New Orleans Attire
The First Tee of New Orleans has apparel available for purchase. Golf shirts must be ordered but golf hats are available at the golf course. Chapter members, volunteers and board membes are encouraged to wear chapter attire at events featuring the chapter, golf tournaments and other events. First Tee attire is also available fo r purchase by Friends of the First Tee.
  Equipment
All equipment necessary for golf lessons will be provided to the participants. Golf clubs and golf balls are all provided at no charge to all First Tee participants during golf training sessions.

The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
The First Tee Coach

The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification.
Assistant Coach Training
The First Tee Assistant Coach Training for individuals who want to be more involved with the ongoing coaching and mentoring of The First Tee participants at the Chapter level but may not be able to spend the time required to become recognized as a The First Tee Coach.
