Timothy Harris, a student at Jesuit High School and a (5  1/2) year member of The First Tee of Greater New Orleans has been selected to compete in the  The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach ,a nationally televised event, which airs  on the Golf Channel.  August 31, 2009 through September 6, 2009. Timothy is working on his Eagle Certification and is a member of the Chapter's Advance Training Program (ATP) where he receives instruction from Tim Brown, PGA at Timberlane Golf and Country Club CC.  Tim recently participated in the qualifying rounds in the Boys Participant Selection Process at the Shadow Valley Country Club, in Rogers Arkansas,  July 14-18, 2009 where he was selected out of 84 competitors  from the 207 chapters to participate in this years Wal-Mart Open at Pebble Beach which is an official PGA Tour Event.

Despite the challenges presented by Hurricane Katrina, our chapter and Timothy have been working hard to prepare for First Tee National Opportunities. He will travel to Pebble Beach with his chapter coach and one parent.
