The First Tee home office brings 50 participants to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida in November for three days. The future leaders participate in hands-on, interactive sessions on customer service, PGA TOUR tournament management, agronomy, researching colleges, and educational requirements for chosen career fields. This program is among the most intense training sessions available for The First Tee participants. It also includes an immersion in the sport, business and science of golf and provides character education to help prepare The First Tee participants to be tomorrow’s leaders.
The Toro Future Leaders Forum participants spend a day at the Children's Mircale Network Classic presented by Walmart at Walt Disney World Resort learning what it takes to run a PGA TOUR tournament and explore how career choices might be utilized in the golf industry. With all this “work” there’s also plenty of play time at the Walt Disney World theme parks. The schedule includes fireworks the first night and time to socialize with other participants from The First Tee as they move from ride to ride.
We are pleased to announce that three chapter participants have been selected to participate in the 2009 Toro Future Leaders Forum in Orlando Florida, November 12-15, 2009.
