At The First Tee of Greater New Orleans, we serve to positively impact the lives of our local youth by providing structured, educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices – all through the game of golf.
Did you know?
- There are 45 Greater New Orleans schools enrolled in our National School Program, impacting over over 25,000 local elementary students per year!
- Through our Life Skills Experience, we reach over 1,100 youth and teens with our First Tee Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits. Nearly 80% of the students who enroll in our program are qualified for Federal Free and Reduced Lunch, and are able to participate at no cost through donor provided scholarships.
- Our Chapter partners with local youth development organizations, including: NORDC, Trinity Community Christian Church, Son of a Saint, Excite All-Stars, Elevate New Orleans, Southern University New Orleans Healthy Minds & Bodies, Discovery Fest, Dillard University Sports Camp, and The Boys and Girls Club. Through these partnerships, we’re able to introduce students to The First Tee Life Skills Experience.
The Power of Relationships
The First Tee coaches are trained to create positive relationships that inspire youth to discover their individual potential. Our programs help young people build confidence, develop respect, and appreciate the value of giving back to our community – all while learning the lifelong sport of golf.
